We have talked a lot over the last few months about how chronic stress can show up in our bodies and our minds.

The rates of anxiety and depression have risen to the highest levels ever recorded, we have had to delay many of usual gatherings and many have not been making the best choices as it relates to optimal health. Not a favorable outlook unless we make some adjustments.

As we ponder … love that word. TY Tim Ferris, what the future might hold and what it might be like, we have to remember that we still have so many many choices that we are in our control.

This is a crucial time to evaluate our lives and hit the reset button on some of the not so good for behaviors and choices that developed out of the fear of the last 2 years.

It is time to bring ourselves back into the balance of being and why saying “no” sometimes to the things that do not serve us is a great idea. All things take a minute to come back from : choosing how we remember and how we move forward is the key.

All that brings me to the point of this week’s post.

What is Epigenetics?

Think of it like this. The Genes you were born with are your human hard drive and they are what they are.  Epigenetics is the software. It is all of your exposures and experiences physically, emotionally and mentally. We sometimes don’t always feel like we have choice over all of our exposures however we still have many that we can control.  In today’s environment we need more than ever to make sure we are resilient and strong so we can thrive. Time for an epigenetic reset!

Building Healthy Humans

If you have been sitting on the fence or you are not sure how and where to start.  Start simple and start with one thing – the power of whole food that is found in nature.


In the 15 years that I have been in practice I have to say without a shadow of doubt that a whole food – chemical free diet along with whole food supplement support to fill in the gaps gets the best health results in the shortest amount of time. Period!!!

Is it easy, Nope … it challenges all of our routines and our ingrained habits … and our Detox and drainage  organs … yes, those guys that work so hard to keep us healthy. The biggest changes I see consistently is the change in Emotions: That’s right.  I know you thought I was going to say weight loss, right?  Yes, people lose weight, anywhere from 10 – 15 pounds in a short period of time, (Inflammation and Fat loss) however the change in emotional health is profound. They feel better in their bodies and that leads to a healthier version of yourself.

Huge improvements in Mood Swings, Anxiety, Fear, Anger, Irritability, Depression, Despair and Low Motivation.

The other remarkable change I see is in the skin and how glowy the person looks.  Patients tell me all the time that co-workers and family all comment on how great their skin looks.

That is saying a lot and reminds us that the skin is also a major organ of detoxification and if is not looking good…. what is going on inside??? Healthy Gut = Healthy Skin.
