The Memorial Day Challenge

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Weekend to everyone and especially to those you served in the Military.  I want to say a special thank you to the women who served.  A truly special group who went through incredible physical, mental and  emotional training to be able to wear the uniform.

I am blessed to have been able to support and care for a number of these amazing women in my practice.  Together we laughed and we cried.  They shared their secrets and the desires, they got healthier and then they had babies.  Boys of course!!

These amazing women were  brave soldiers and now they are now brave mothers.  They are out in the world teaching their sons to be the best they can be.

As we all celebrate this weekend let’s take the time to really think about what this weekend is about. Let’s celebrate those women who served.

The Memorial Day Healthy Food Challenge

You know I can’t do a post about Memorial Day without mentioning Food and Drink.    Some of you probably think I am a party pooper.. Not true!  I want you to have fun and celebrate in a healthy way. I want us to pass down traditions that don’t trash our immune systems. We have to be  mindful cause there seems to be a holiday event every 3-4 weeks starting with New Years Eve and continuing all year.  So if we are not careful all that celebrating can turn into a year long unhealthy food plan, which then turns into pain, discomfort, hormones dis-regulation, digestive upset and more…

So this Memorial Day I challenge you to serve healthier food options.

Better yet make it low carb, add lots of veggies, drink plenty of water and don’t over eat or eat all day long.  Get some exercise, get out in nature, and thank the men and women who made it possible for us to have this opportunity.

If you are stuck for ideas here is a link to options that that are tasty and fit most diet choices.  Speaking of Diets I think I will write a book called the Keleotarian Diet.. LOL

A quick reminder that I will be on vacation from May 29th till June 5th.  You can book an appointment at  www.dripia.com, by clicking the link in the top right hand corner.

Happy and Healthy Memorial Day
