Introducing Pulses
In the battle for healthy foods, one group is getting is more attention, and legitimately so. Pulses are crops such as lentils, peas, chickpeas and beans. We love this food group in my family and use them in all kinds of dishes. Pulses have many health benefits:
- Good source of protein
- High in fiber
- Low glycemic index
- Low in fat and sodium
- Excellent source of B vitamins and various minerals
- High in potassium.
