LOVE AND HEART WELL

Happy Heart Month!!

Heart and Love Well begins with Self Love and Self Care!

Love well means that you have meaningful relationships in your life that you nurture with love and compassion. It is great to tell people you love them however it is so much more impactful when you demonstrate it with thoughtful consistent actions. Love well is also about Purpose and Passion!

Tips To Love YOU!

We talk about a lot of strategies and wellness topics every week and ways to help you heal yourself. The truth is you are in the drivers seat so KIST. Kind Inner Self Talk is important for a healthy life.

There is an old Yoga saying : “where the mind goes then energy flows…” So you have to be intentional with your thoughts … to be clear I don’t mean that you wear rose colored glasses. I mean you notice, feel, learn and then see the grace in the situation and move on.

  • Implement the self-love/care strategies you have learned through our conversations/ blog.  Take action and make small consistent steps. Ask the question? Does this nourish me?
  • Family/partner relationships can be tricky-So reinforce positive behaviors and actions instead of pointing out the flaws or providing advice. Parents … model the behaviors you want your kids to see.
  • Talk about how things make you feel and look for solutions.
  • Set up compassionate boundaries and hold to them. Are you saying yes to others so you can say no to yourself?  Honestly this might be the hardest one for me.
  • Have a positive and grateful Mindset-Mantra eg: “I am strong, healthy and good at…….” or “I have everything I need and want” etc.  Start your day with writing this or saying it. Click here for my morning. routine.

THE HEART OF IT ALL

Ancient Societies believed that the heart is the seat of the soul and the core of our being. When we experience heartbreak or grief, we can feel our heart hurt. Not only is the heart in the center of our body physically, but it is also the center of our emotionally health. In TCM the heart is the king of all organs and that means that other organs will give their energy to keep the Heart in balance.

HOW THE HEART INTERACTS WITH OTHER ORGANS

  • Emotions: Frightfully overjoyed – Talkative and very chatty –If this is you then you need some  Peace and Joy
  • Heart Rate: Low/ High or A Fib, PVC’s Rapid: Valves
  • Blood Pressure: Low or High
  • Oxygenation: Air Hunger, feel stuffy in closed rooms, Altitude sickness, Low Antioxidant intake
  • Adrenal Stress: Anxiety and heart pounds due to real or perceived stress and food sensitivities
  • Circulation/Valves: Cold hands & feet, numbness & tingling, cramps with exercise, swollen ankles, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, restless legs
  • Glycation: Sticky blood, Clots, Blood Sugar issues and Liver Phase 2
  • Calcium: Low tissue st- Cramps at night/ rest: Arthrosclerosis
  • BMR/ Slow Basal Metabolic Rate and Thyroid involvement
  • Anemia: B12, B6, Homocysteine, Folate, Red Dots on my skin, Low Iron or High Ferritin
  • Capillary Fragility and Micro Circulation- Bruise easily, Discoloration of the skin, low energy levels (Mitochondrial function) Nitric Oxide etc.

You can see that the body provides us a lot of clues and taps on the shoulder that our Heart could use some love.

have happy healthy heart week
