How to Evaluate your WHOLE Health!
Here we are almost to August and we are in the last half of the year! Time flies they say…
So, I wanted to suggest that you take a minute and slow down and evaluate your whole health. See how it has been going so far for 2024 and then decide what areas you would like to work on, adjust, or give more time to, or less time to so that you end the year feeling strong and balanced.
I wanted to provide something simple and easy to complete with a quick peak into what areas of your Total Wellness could use support and attention or in some cases less attention. (Working all the time or negative self talk might come to mind)
The Wellness Wheel Quiz
The reason for that is, that we can easily go down rabbit holes as it relates to our health and completely miss the basics. We tend to see health in segments instead of pieces of a whole system. An example would be ” I am on a XYZ type Diet and it will fix my health issue” What if diet was not actually the root cause of why you are not as vibrant as you might like to be… Sure it is very important, however seeing the whole picture might provide a more perspective. This is especially true if you feel like you are ” doing all the things” and need to step back and take a birds eye view.
The whole health wellness quiz is in a nutshell all about balancing your Nervous System and therefore balancing all of you!!
I hope you find it useful. After you have taken the Quiz, you then need to set some goals and take some action steps … Unless of course you have a perfect score. LOL Perfect is actually not the point of the Quiz… It is all about finding Balance so that you feel centered, fluid just like a wheel when it goes around smoothly.

Eat/Digest Well
Start the day with a glass of filtered water and a healthy savory breakfast. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and herbs at every meal. Eat organic free range or wild protein. No packaged or processed foods and keep sugar low. Your meals are balanced and have the high nutritional content. You drink plenty of water and your weight is balanced for your height. Your energy is stable throughout the day! Your digestive system works well.
Score 1-10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

Move Well
Get at least 45 minutes of movement at least 5 days a week. It can be walking, running, dancing, yoga etc. Do you stretch, strengthen, and do balances as part of routine to avoid injury? Moving keeps all aspects of the body and mind functioning and running like a well-oiled machine. You get out in nature often.

Sleep/Rest Well
You get 7-8 hours of restful un-interrupted sleep every day. The body needs to rest and repair to balance the nervous system. Do you wake up feeling rested and ready to go? You have a sleep and active deep rest routine?

Live/Work Well
You live with passion and have purpose in your life. You are excited and ready to go to “work” each day. Your job is your passion. Your job/purpose satisfies you. It does not impact your health and it does not keep you away from family and friends. You are not a workaholic. You are not living from paycheck to paycheck. You are saving for your future. You are not up to eyeballs in credit card debit.

Mind/Pray Well
You have a mindfulness or spiritual influence in your life. It could be church on Sunday, daily meditation, or daily affirmations. You enjoy a sense of peace and gratitude. You are compassionate with others and yourself and you practice emotional hygiene like setting boundaries.

Love Well
Have meaning full relationships in your life that you nurture. You not only say I love you but demonstrate it with thoughtful actions every day. You have found your soul mate. You have a close connection with children, parents, and relatives. You are part of a community and have close connections.

Think Well
You are what you think you can or can’t do. Is your inner language positive? Is the glass half full? You never complain. You never point the finger of blame at other people or events. You are open to new ideas. You challenge yourself to learn new skills and seek out new experiences. You can walk past the mirror without focusing on what is too much or not enough.

Well Balanced
You do not have any stressors in your life that cause you to feel unwell. You have forgiven past trauma’s no matter how big or small. You are not exposed to chemical stressors such as medications, packaged foods, poor air quality, cleaning products etc. Your posture is excellent. You do not suffer from hormonal imbalances. You don’t suffer from anxiety, or depression.
